Harry Stark, Ph.D.

Helping you reach your full potential

After graduating in 2000 with a Doctorate of Philosophy- Ph.D. from California School of Professional Psychology, Los Angeles, my post graduate journey has taken my clinical training to include rotations through Inpatient Psychiatric Facilities, Outpatient Geriatric Care, and day treatment for Developmentally Disabled/Psychotic disordered adults.

In addition, I have proudly served as adjunct faculty, teaching graduate and undergraduate level university since 2001. A professional passion of mine is presenting continuing education seminars on the integration of psychological theory in treatment, use of various conceptual approaches in inpatient/outpatient treatment environments, and issues related to geriatric populations, as well as self-harming populations.

My current research involves development of self-harming assessment tools.

Within the profession, I have been privileged  to hold a variety of positions including; Team Psychologist at a community outreach program for forensic populations (Pacific Clinics), Team Leader for an outpatient Older Adult program (Pacific Clinics), Assistant Administrative Director for an inpatient hospital (Gateways Hospital), Chair of Research Committee and Chair of Clinical Treatment Team (Gateways Hospital), and Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry (Keck School of Medicine – University of Southern California, 2011 – 2012).

Further, I have authored a study on the development of assessment tools for social activity for Older Adults and co-authored a study on Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS).

In 2003, I founded my private practice, primarily offering counseling to individuals, couples, and families.
